Background informationThe development of Advanced Practitoners has occurred successfully in pockets across the country. The development of these roles was aided by the National Practitioner Programme which ended in 2008. In Yorkshire and the Humber developments have been minimal although we have seen examples of good practice in relation to extended roles. This conference aims to showcase examples of good practice both nationally and regionally and to stimulate debate as to the possible wider use of such roles in the region.
