Description: This workshop aims to provide you with information on how mobile working solutions can support patient care, being delivered at the point of care, by community based health and social care practitioners.

Keynote speaker, Barbara Stuttle CBE, NHS Connecting for Health national clinical lead for nursing is leading the drive to support nursing to introduce flexible mobile technology for nurses across England.

You will have the opportunity to hear directly from Trevor Wright, Associate Director of Informatics, North Lincolnshire PCT and North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus and Kathy Drayton, District Nurse, North Lincolnshire PCT. In Northern Lincolnshire the PCTs have already completed a proof of concept and business case for the introduction of mobile technology for nurses and has begun deployment across the local health community.

Ayat Khan, from NHS Connecting for Health and Lynne Price and Caroline Greenhalgh from the Bolton PCT District Nursing Team will give an informative update on the Summary Care Record Pilot in Bolton. This will include information on the background of the summary care record, the mobile project scope and deployment strategy, a demonstration of the mobile solution and details on the end user feedback. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers.

You will also have the opportunity to hear directly from NHS Connecting for Health about their work in this area.

This will be a valuable event for Directors of Informatics and Directors of Nursing in both primary and community care.

The workshop begins with lunch and an opportunity to browse stalls from some of the suppliers who can provide mobile working solutions and to support agile working in a community setting.
